We invite all who want to support Veterans to VetNet Connect. This is a networking group of all different groups and individuals to help the largest number of Veterans possible! We feel that by uniting all of us, we will be better able to reach out to our Veterans and help them more effectively. The mission of VetNet Connect is to support and help our local Veterans in whatever ways we can. To help with employment, housing, medical, and try to keep them out of "at-risk" situations. If you would like to be added to the VetNet Connect email list, please email Lillie Danzer at LillieD@DelmarMortgage.com.
If you would like to be added to The Kaufman Fund mailing list for our standard newsletter/other communications, please click here to register: https://lb.benchmarkemail.com//listbuilder/signupnew?UOpPXfYpHY41Zz4nC8MiP%252F5pwVnAjsSIgQDSqqnBaTTtO5iNRn8gS049TyW7spdJ

Special School District is proud to be co-hosting the 3rd annual St. Louis County Apprenticeship and Career Pathways Showcase with the Affton, Pattonville, and Rockwood School Districts. Families and students in grades 6 through 12, as well as recent graduates, are invited to these FREE events to experience a variety of careers through interactive exhibits and discussions with industry professionals.
This year, St. Louis educators are strongly encouraged to attend a Showcase and join families in learning about these in-demand options for students. Attending educators can choose to participate in a guided exploration of the event and enter a prize drawing.
Events are planned for the following dates and locations:
-
Saturday, Feb. 24, 10 AM to 1 PM, at Eureka High School
-
Saturday, March 2, 10 AM to 1 PM, North Tech High School
-
Saturday, March 9, 10 AM to 1 PM, South Tech High School
Check the North Tech or South Tech event pages for more information.
Sponsored by American Welding School, the showcases will connect attendees to exciting and fulfilling job opportunities, many of which require training instead of a traditional, 4-year degree. Regional employers seeking young talent will be ready to share information and guidance about career pathways, including healthcare, advanced manufacturing, construction, information technology, and public safety. Some industries will offer hands-on activities and opportunities to work with equipment to ensure students enjoy an immersive experience.
